PALAK PANEER KOFTA

Spinach and paneer combination has always proven good in nutrition wise and taste wise. Today I tried paneer koftas in regular palak gravy. It came out very well. I would like to share with you all.

Ingredients:

Spinach- 4 to 5 bunches

Paneer/ cottage cheese- 200 gms
Corn flour- 1 tbsp
Onion- 1 chopped finely

Tomato- 1 chopped finely

Ginger garlic paste- 1 TSP
Salt to taste

Turmeric Powder- 1/4 th TSP
Chilli powder- 1/2 TSP
Green chillies- 2

Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp

Pepper powder- 1/2 tsp

Oil -.100 ml
Cumin seeds- 1/2 tsp

Procedure:

1. Wash spinach and boil.

2. When cooled, blend well. Keep aside.

3. For koftas:

a. Grate paneer and add pepper, salt & corn flour. Knead like a dough gently.

b. make lemon sized balls with paneer dough.

c. Deep fry in oil.

d. Fry in medium flame. Remove and keep aside.

4. In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil. Add cumin seeds, onions, chilli and ginger garlic paste.

5.when it is translucent, add tomatoes, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder.

6. Now add blended palak puree to this. Cook for 5 minutes.

7. Switch off and add deep fried koftas.

7. Serve hot with roti.
